Following the runaway success of last year’s almighty party, High Definition Festival returns for a second year of unrivalled music and entertainment.

2012 will witness High Definition Festival ramping up their spectacular production values alongside a killer line up of the best dance music acts around. Essex’s most exciting festival is back to stake its claim as this summer’s essential music destination!

We have groundbreaking headline acts, expect a massive line up spanning the best in House, Techno, Dubstep, and Drum & Bass.

The leafy surrounds of Forest Farm will transform again into a countryside hideaway awash with blinding sights and banging sounds. With the focus not only on music HD Festival also brings you a selection of the finest food and entertainment you’ll find in the great British outdoors this summer.

Situated directly on the Central Line the festival is easily accessible to London and the Home Counties.

SEARCH POLICY

You may be searched at the entrance to the festival for any items that may be used in an illegal or offensive manner. If found they will be confiscated. Persons suspected of carrying out illegal and/or offensive activities on site will also be searched and may be removed from site.

It is a condition of entry on our licence that you allow yourself and your belongings to be searched by the Police or Security. They will carry out random searches when you are entering the festival site and arena. Do not attempt to bring in illegal substances as you stand a very real chance of being caught.

Therefore please DO NOT bring the following:
Offensive weapons or anything that may be considered to be offensive 
No fireworks, flares, laser pens or laser equipment will be allowed on site.
With the exception of Guide Dogs, no animals are allowed on site.

TOILETS

There are toilets in the arena that are cleaned and emptied throughout the day. We all know that festival toilets can generally be unpleasant to use, so please help us by keeping them clean; it will be mutually beneficial. Always wash your hands after using the toilets.

RUBBISH & WASTE

There are plenty of bins provided, which are emptied during the course of the event. Please use the bins provided - not the floor.

VALUABLES

If you don’t need it - don’t bring it! Carry money, credit cards, mobile phones, cameras, and all other valuables with you at all times, if you have not purchased a locker for the day. Lockers are available to hire. If you think you have had an item stolen, please go to the Welfare Tent as it may have been handed in before reporting a theft to the Police.Ensure you know where your nearest emergency exits are.Follow any instructions given by Stewards or Security.Move away from any dangerous/antisocial behaviour and alert Security if they are not already in the immediate vicinity.

FOOD / DRINK

Due to licensing restrictions, you are not permitted to bring you own food and drink into the event, unless you have specific dietary requirements backed up by a doctor’s note.

ARENA ADMISSION POLICY

All tented structures have a set capacity that, by law, we cannot exceed. If there is a particular artist you want to see, you should check their performance time and ensure you are there early, as we cannot guarantee admittance to these areas. Closed-off structures will not be re-opened until after the act has finished. If you cannot get access, we recommend you go and enjoy a performance at an alternative stage. 

EMERGENCY SERVICES

There is a 12 hour medical centre and other first aid points with fully qualified staff. Please familiarise yourself with their location. There are also trained welfare staff, to help with personal problems, who are available 12 hours and situated in the Welfare Tent.Full emergency services include Police, Ambulance and Fire Service. If you need any assistance DO NOT call 999 as you will unnecessarily tie up services from a nearby town.There are an ample number of Stewards and Security on site who can be alerted to call upon emergency services or assist as necessary.

Look after yourself and those around you, even people you don’t know. If you suspect somebody is unwell take him or her to the first aid tent. If they are not moving, please alert a Steward immediately who will call for the necessary help. Please do not attempt to move them as you may do more harm than good.If you need to take medication regularly remember to bring it and let your friends know of any illness or allergies you may have.
